Bollywood’s popular actress Alia Bhatt’s ex-personal assistant, Vedika Prakash Shetty, has been arrested for allegedly committing a fraud of nearly ₹76.9 lakh. Once considered a trusted manager, Vedika’s betrayal has left everyone shocked — proving that these days, it’s hard to trust anyone completely.
How Was the Fraud Discovered?
In January 2025, Alia Bhatt’s mother and Eternal Sunshine Productions director, Soni Razdan, discovered some irregularities. Upon realizing the seriousness of the situation, she immediately filed a complaint at the Juhu Police Station.
It was revealed that the fraud continued from May 2022 to August 2024.
How Did She Do It?
Vedika reportedly:
- Created forged bills
- Used fake signatures
- Generated fake invoices using software
- Then transferred the stolen money into an account belonging to her friend or associate
The Arrest
Recently, the Juhu Police arrested Vedika Shetty in Bengaluru, where she was hiding. She is currently in police custody, and further investigation is ongoing. Authorities are verifying:
