Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe in Canada Attacked: Gunfire Incident Days After Opening


Kapil Sharma’s wife, Ginni, had recently opened Kap’s Cafe in Canada. According to reports, the cafe was inaugurated on July 7, and photos and videos of the launch were going viral on social media.

However, just two days later, on July 10 at around 1:50 a.m., a firing incident took place at Kap’s Cafe, located in Surrey, British Columbia.

At least 8–10 rounds were fired. Fortunately, no one was harmed—there were no injuries and no bullets hit anyone.

Who’s Responsible?

Responsibility for the shooting has been claimed by Harjeet Singh Laddi, who is said to be associated with the banned extremist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), a Khalistani outfit. He is a wanted person by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA). It’s reported that he cited Kapil Sharma’s alleged past remarks as the reason behind the attack.

The attackers came in a car, fired, and fled the scene.

Police Action:

The police arrived promptly, but by then, the assailants had already escaped. Authorities reviewed CCTV footage and have launched an investigation.

Kap’s Cafe Responds:

The cafe released a statement on Instagram, story expressing shock over the incident and reaffirming their commitment to staying strong and not giving up in the face of violence.
