The film’s shooting began in December 2024 and now, on July 26, 2025, actor Diljit Dosanjh shared a video on his social media account announcing that the shoot for Border 2 has been completed. Diljit plays the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, a brave officer of the Indian Air Force who single-handedly defended the Srinagar Airbase during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime military honor. He remains the only Indian Air Force officer to receive this prestigious award. Diljit Dosanjh takes on this powerful role in the film and celebrated the shoot wrap with sweets and joy among his friends and crew.
