Called Badshah Overrated

When asked which singer he finds the most overrated, Tanishk bluntly said:

“Badshah is quite overrated. His music is made mostly for marketing and reels; it lacks depth.”

Praised Real, Raw Talent

He also highlighted how some singers become hits without any label or marketing—mentioning names like:

  • “Gulabi Saadi These are examples of raw talent. For instance, singer Sanju became famous without backing—this is where real music lives.”

Dream Collaborations

When asked about his dream collaborations, Tanishk mentioned:

  • Billie Eilish
  • Dua Lipa
  • actores dipika padukon
He also added he’d love to work with Savan Kotecha, a well-known international songwriter.

Spoke on the Industry’s Big Issue: Missing Credit

Tanishk strongly criticized how music directors often don’t get proper recognition in India:

“When films are promoted, the composer’s name doesn’t even appear on posters. Recognition only comes after years of uncredited hard work.”
He added that this doesn’t happen abroad—“in other countries, every artist, big or small, is given due credit.”

About “Saiyara” – A Song Born from Pain

Tanishk also spoke emotionally about his recent hit “Saiyara” (2025), saying:

“I composed ‘Saiyara’ when I was going through a rough phase of depression after a breakup. I was emotionally shattered and feeling very alone during that time.”

He revealed that the audience’s emotional response to the film and the track moved him to tears.

“When I saw the reaction, I couldn’t hold back—I cried.”
